Projected Climate Maps

Using the elevation data from the province, ClimateNA was able to model distributions and amounts over all of Nova Scotia. This Data was used to inform our Tree Species Suitability charts (hyperlinked text). This is a small subset of what has been generated. The whole map set can be downloaded for viewing here (hyperlinked text).

May to September Precipitation is crucial for growth and survivability of tree species in the province, as it is the main growing period for trees where water availability is required. Some text blurb explaining why this is an important variable.
